PAIRS Warrior to Soul Mate: A Practical Curriculum for Lasting Love and Connection
PAIRS is a research-validated, experiential curriculum designed to teach essential skills for creating and sustaining healthy, fulfilling relationships. Drawing on over four decades of clinical innovation and field research, PAIRS Essentials helps participants enhance communication, deepen emotional intimacy, build empathy, and resolve conflicts constructively.
Rooted in the pioneering work of Virginia Satir, Daniel Casriel, and Lori Heyman Gordon, PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills) offers hands-on tools and guided experiences that help people strengthen emotional literacy, increase self-awareness, and nurture resilience in their personal and family lives.
Whether offered as a weekend intensive or a multi-week series, PAIRS Essentials guides individuals and couples through powerful learning experiences, including:
- The Daily Temperature Reading for confiding safely and consistently
- Emptying the Emotional Jug to understand and express underlying feelings
- Fair Fight for Change to transform conflict into collaboration
- The Love Bank to build and maintain positive emotional balances
- Clarifying Expectations to reduce misunderstandings and assumptions
- Good Talking and Good Listening to foster mutual understanding
Each session is built around real-life applications, helping participants practice new relationship skills in a supportive, respectful, and emotionally safe environment.
PAIRS Essentials (Warrior to Soul Mate) is the foundation course for all PAIRS programming and serves as a gateway to advanced offerings such as PAIRS Passion, PAIRS Purpose, PAIRS Let It Out, and the semester-long PAIRS Mastery Course.
The PAIRS Essentials/Warrior to Soul Mate experience is designed for anyone—regardless of age, background, or relationship status—who is ready to move beyond communication breakdowns, emotional distance, or recurring conflicts and invest in the practical art of loving well.
